Camila Arza es investigadora independiente del CONICET con sede en el Centro Interdisciplinario para el Estudio de Políticas Públicas. Es Licenciada en Sociología (UBA) y doctora (PhD, Philosophy Doctor) de la London School of Economics and Polítical Siences (LSE), donde también obtuvo un Master of Sciences. Es docente en cursos de posgrado sobre política social y desigualdad en UTDT, FLACSO y otras universidades. Sus áreas de investigación son: política social comparada (América Latina y Europa), sistemas de seguridad social, políticas familiares, inversión social, desigualdad y género. Sus trabajos más recientes se orientaron al estudio comparado del diseño de programas de beneficios no-contributivos en América Latina (pensiones sociales y transferencias directas a las familias), las dimensiones de género de la política social y especialmente del sistema previsional, estratificación social en el acceso al sistema de protección social, pobreza y desigualdad. Los resultados de sus investigaciones han sido publicados en revistas académicas como Social Policy and Administration, World Development, Journal of Latin American StudiesInternational Social Security ReviewInternational Journal of Social Welfare, Journal of International and Comparative Social Policy, y Social Policy and Society, y en libros publicados por editoriales como Oxford University Press, Routledge, Elsevier, Edward Elgar, y Palgrave Macmillan, entre otras.

Camila Arza is senior researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina (CONICET) based at the Interdisciplinary Centre for the Study of Public Policies. She also teaches postgraduate courses on social policy and inequality at University Torcuato Di Tella and FLACSO, among other universities. She holds a PhD and a Master of Sciences from the London School of Economics, and a first degree in Sociology from the University of Buenos Aires. She specialises in comparative social policy (Latin America and Europe), social security systems, family policies, social investment, and socio-economic and gender inequalities. Her recent work focused on the comparative analysis of non-contributory benefits in Latin America (social pensions and direct cash transfers to families), the gender dimensions of social policy and social security, social stratification in access to the social protection system, poverty and inequality. Her research has been published in academic journals like Social Policy & Administration, World DevelopmentJournal of Latin American StudiesInternational Social Security ReviewInternational Journal of Social Welfare, Journal of International and Comparative Social Policy and Social Policy and Society, as well as in edited books published by Oxford University Press, Routledge, Elsevier, Edward Elgar, and Palgrave Macmillan, among others.
